Position Title Psychologist

The Ball State University Counseling Center is looking for an experienced psychologist to join our growing and innovative team. Be part of a team that promotes the health and well-being of college students without relying on third party payers for reimbursement. The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychologist (licensure in Indiana a plus) and at least one year of experience working in a university counseling center or with young adults. Experience working with anxiety disorders, student athletes, or GLBTQ community is highly desirable. Interested parties should apply.

Position Function

Provide individual and group counseling, outreach/consultation service for Ball State University students, faculty, and staff; conduct supervision and training and perform administrative duties as assigned; serve on unit and university committees as appointed and assigned.

Minimum Education

A.B.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from both a program and internship that are A.P.A.-accredited; Ph.D. or Psy.D. must be completed within 6 months of employment.

Minimum Experience

Completion of APA accredited internship.

Preferred Education

Completed Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from both a program and internship that are A.P.A. accredited.

Preferred Experience

One year of experience providing therapy to college students or young adult population. Experience working with athletes, anxiety disorders, social justice, diversity, and GLBTQ counseling/programming is a plus.

Preferred Other

Licensed psychologist in Indiana.

Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check.

Doctoral interns; other students in training.
